RCT Social Return on Investment Project: Call for Expressions of Interest

Community organisations in Rhondda Cynon Taf are invited to take part in a new Social Return on Investment (SROI) project delivered by Building Communities Trust, Interlink RCT and the Social Effectiveness Research Centre.

This project offers free one-to-one support from an experienced social value practitioner to help you demonstrate the full social value of your work through a professionally produced SROI case study.

Who can take part?

You may be eligible if your organisation:

  • Works directly with communities in Rhondda Cynon Taf

  • Provides activities or support for local people

  • Owns or leases a building used for community activities

  • Already measures at least some outcomes achieved by participants

What the project offers:

  • Support to identify all the outcomes your organisation achieves

  • Analysis of the full social value you generate

  • A clear, accessible SROI case study showcasing your impact

  • Guidance to strengthen your monitoring and evaluation systems

What you’ll need to commit to:

  • An initial session to establish monitoring baselines

  • Hosting a workshop, focus group or interviews with participants

  • Ongoing input as needed to complete the study by March 2026

How you’ll benefit:

  • Improved monitoring and evaluation processes

  • A professionally developed SROI case study to share with staff, volunteers and funders

  • Increased visibility through Wales-wide policy and influencing work led by Building Communities Trust

  • Evidence that demonstrates the real difference your organisation makes
