Group and organisation

Your group’s committee or trustees will make lots of decisions. Who in your group and how your group makes decisions is your group’s governance. Good governance creates a culture where everything works towards fulfilling your group’s vision. Governance can include things like your rules or constitution, your policies, assessing risk, managing your finances and your staff.

There are some legal requirements for governance too. So you can get it right, there are several information sheets below. Please feel free to contact us if anything’s confusing or overwhelming. We’ll be happy to talk you through it. Also, we can provide training and peer support to help with your governance.
